ON-CAMPUS SERVICES UPDATE
We know that “church” isn't just a building - it's the ministry we do every day in every way. Nothing can and no one can stop us from sharing the love of Jesus with a hurting world.
With the new and ever changing directives from national, state and local officials, and above all seeking God, we are temporarily redirecting all kids, youth and adult services from our Citadel Church campuses effective immediately.
While we are and will remain open and ready to meet the needs of our members and community, for our worship services, instead of coming to the campus, please join us LIVE ONLINE via Facebook & YouTube …on Sundays at 9:30am for our “LIVE Service Experience.” We will also offer a rebroadcast Watch Party on Facebook at 11am & 6pm. As we look to maintain our normal activities and stay connected Children’s Church Service will be on Saturdays at 5pm via Facebook LIVE…gather the kids as Lady Wright and the team share a weekly lesson that includes a crafts project they can complete right at home.
In addition, this evening at 6:30pm join us via Facebook LIVE for a special service with prayer, worship and a timely message from Pastor B and additional information regarding how our ministries will continue and prosper in the coming days. We are excited to share our plan for staying connected with everyone who calls The Citadel home and even more excited to see God get the glory out of this!

We look forward to life returning to normal very soon, because there is no place like The Citadel of Praise Christian Church & its families. We want to gather in person as soon as we are able. Until then, we are committed to providing you the very best online and alternative methods of services as possible.
We love you very much, and we are praying for you during this season.
In This Together!
Citadel Church Leadership
We are closely monitoring the news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) both locally and globally, and we’re paying attention to guidance published by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our weekly services will continue, and we are following recommendations from state and local government agencies. This Sunday we have several medical professionals to join us for a Information / Q&A Session as we want to make sure you are informed appropriately.
At this point there are only a handful of confirmed cases in Arizona. While we know the coronavirus is primarily spread through close contact, we are taking all precautionary measures to ensure a safe place of gathering and worship at our Citadel Church campuses and events. We have implemented a plan for extra safety and sanitation. We believe God is still and will always be in control. The spread of this virus has caused a level of fear and anxiety for many people. While we know and believe that God will cover his people in the midst of the storm, we do not take this situation lightly and understand the importance of operating with wisdom. Scripture is clear, “God has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind, and not a spirit of fear.” (2 Timothy 1:7).
As you attend our services, here are some additional steps and measures we are implementing to ensure a safe and healthy environment in our gathering places.
ILLNESS: If you are currently experiencing symptoms or illness, please enjoy the service online rather than physically attending a service. This will ensure you recover more quickly, and that you do not pass on an illness to others. If you desire prayer for healing, please send a request via our mobile app.
DOORS & ENTRANCES: To minimize contact points with other congregants, our volunteer teams will hold exterior doors open to greet you. The customary hug & handshake can be replaced with a friendly verbal greeting and as always, an encouraging word. We are also making hand sanitizer more readily available throughout our buildings and at our entrances for all services. OFFERING: If you don’t already, we recommend that you give online, on our mobile app. Over 60% of our church body already uses this secure systems; they are reliable, easy and safe. Also, we encourage that you consider setting your online giving to be recurring in order to stay systematic and consistent in honoring the Lord with your first fruits. We will still provide an offering collection bucket and will guide you on how these will be used during this season of increased precaution. Our goal is to make you feel as safe and comfortable as possible. KIDS &
YOUTH AREAS: Our ministry leaders here at Citadel Christian Church are committed to wiping down check-in surfaces between all services with disinfectant wipes, just as we always have. Kids ministries will continue to clean play areas and wipe down toys before each service. If your child is sick, please do not bring them out during this time to avoid exposing others to illness.
ONLINE SERVICES: Although we encourage you to join us in person, we offer a great online service experience. If you are traveling or not feeling well, we encourage you to join us by worshipping online via our Virtual Church iCITADEL via Facebook "LIVE". You can submit prayer requests, give online, and stay connected through our online host and support staff, who are ready to serve you live. During this season we will stream at 8:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.
PREVENTION: We strongly encourage you to become educated in how the coronavirus behaves. Take some time to understand proper preventative measures to support being part of the solution. Again THIS Sunday we will have a special Information/ Q & A Message to aid in this.
Here are some of the basic measures listed on the CDC website:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Always wash hands with soap and water if your hands are visibly dirty.
Please continue to pray for those affected around the world. We know that God answers us when we pray.
